My partner and I looked at spending budgets for police, education and mental health services, among many others, to create this series of infographics. In it, we contextualize police spending in different cities across the U.S. We posted on both of our Instagram accounts, and we were met with a strong response — over 10,000 shares and 8,000 likes. In addition to year-round programming on global human rights issues, we organized the largest student-run and student-attended conference on human rights in the country. In 2016, I launched our organization’s full re-brand. I designed a new logo, inspired by the United Nations Human Rights Council logo and the official flag of the United Nations. In the years to follow, as Marketing Director, I designed over 40 promotional materials for web and print use. Strategies is a team of data analysts, planners, architects, developers and designers that builds in-house tools to enhance the traditional planning and design process. This level of collaborative internal tool building is unprecedented in a traditional architecture firm. I entrenched myself in the work of Strategies, familiarizing myself with the tools they build and how they’re used in the firm’s projects.
